TORCH2

This was our 5th match on OGL and we decided to challenge a VERY CLASSY team called [Mr. Tree]. We weren’t sure if we did the right thing challenging them…what if our defense strat of over fertilizing the flag pit didn’t work? What if they grew taller and greener because of it? Although we brought the arsenic and some heavy nitrogen, we kept them on the side as a ‘just in case’. The match started and I believe 3 [Mr Trees] came at us, branches swinging! One rocketed to the battlement and smacked me up and down with a thick bush of explosions! "HELP!!!" I cried to =WaR=Qbender..who was just standing there shouting "Beat him with a stick!" HE WAS TALKING TO THE GUY BEATING ON ME!!! And here I thought we were friends and he had overcome his grudge for taking his spot in the game. Our offense did a great job pushing hard and making some successful caps. However, credit has to be given for an incredible cap [Mr Tree] made and we spent the next few minutes arguing which way he came in…that’s how much we knew about which direction they came in from. I swear they came in from a different direction than the one I was covering, I always get blamed when the enemy breaks past! I WAS FRAMED I TELL YA!!! [Mr Tree] then changed strats on offense and came in heavy, it was a great effort but too late to turn the scores around.

BAM

This was a map we have become accustomed to and really enjoy playing. What’s funny here is that each time we play a team that picks a map we are not that good at, we start to like it more and more as such was the case with Bam. The game got started after a 5 minute break, (we thought the host provides the cookies and milk here! No such luck, they just wanted a potty break!) They surprised us here and really played a great match! They were down to 4 players for a few minutes and they still pulled a cap out! Wow, great medic and soldier combination pulled it off for them! We were impressed and again the defense starts pointing their fingers at ME!!! I hate it when that happens! Of course I had a good excuse…I WAS TAKING A POTTY BREAK DAMN IT!! Yes I know I should have gone earlier and I did, but I’m 40 and I have an excuse…MY BLADDER IS WEAK! I think I was tossed around so much by their medic that half the time I had to come to and realize "We are under attack!!!" as I ran the opposite direction being so turned around by the conc. Realizing I was now outside…I snuck back in and took my position. I don’t think my team saw me (hehehe) Of course I pretended I was always in position. J [Mr. Tree] put up a good fight on us and despite they had a member drop here and there, they were still formidable with 4!
