OGL 5 vs 5

=WaR= vs -||EFM||-

2morfort

We decided to go with 2morfort since we were fortunate enough to have our resident fatty, Recon, available for the match and Kaos was scared of Stowaway, lol.

The prematch ends and both teams send their offensive rushes.   =WaR= strikes first with a cap with EFM capping shortly thereafter.  From there it was a barrage of caps for =WaR=.  EFM countered by switching personnel and their d strat.  This worked and slowed down the =WaR= offense.

I have no clue what was going on with =WaR= defense on this map.   All I heard over voice comm was something about Recon having an economics test and him asking Screamen to help tutor him.  And a perpetual laugh in the background that could only be Snowman.  LoL, this is no place for idle chitchat!  ROFL!

After watching my demo of the round, I just noticed that I possess NO real skill as a demoman, LoL.  The only thing I was doing was spamming 'nades and dancing the "mirv shuffle" to avoid my own explosives.  Which really didn't work because more often than not, I would be the cause of my demise :)

Round ends with =WaR= on top.

2fort

Off to EFM server for round 2.  This round was broadcasted via HLTV, but unfortunately none of our reserves knew what HLTV was or how to use it, lol.

We thought we were all familiar enough with 2fort and were confident coming into this round.  But with 11 seconds left in prematch, HavoC drops leaving =WaR= one man down for about 5 minutes.  As soon as HavoC returns to the server, he drops again mumbling something about having mouse problems.  He finally gets in and the offense gritted down and started chipping away at their defense.

But this round belonged to EFM.  EFM offense capped furiously on our  defense while our offense struggled to get in sync and just keep up with those mad EFM cappers!

We had Snowman go heavy o and the caps started coming for Team =WaR=, but it was too little too late.  Round ends with EFM up by a significant margin.

Torch2

We were missing a few key defensive players tonite.   We were without the services of QBender, King of the Puke Bucket, but luckily we had soldier extraodinaire, BadBoy, showup just in time.  What would we do without him?  Don't mess with a 9 year old!

Raptor, our resident supasolja, was already tucked in bed having dreams of swimming in the waters of 2fort.  So we called upon MortalKombat to play his position.  MK is a medic at heart, and thought it was ludicrous to shoot a rocket at your feet and jump.  "That's what concs are for, silly!", he replied.  But nevertheless, like the trooper he is, he practiced rjumping as a soldier....  during the match!!!!  lol

We all headed back to =WaR=Harvest Time for the tiebreaker round only to find that the server was behaving erratically and had to be rebooted.  After a fresh boot, the server was in prime condition and the round begins.

With both teams' defenses not able to hold back the other offense, it became a capping contest.  This is how it went... they cap, we cap, they cap, we cap, they cap, we cap.....

Towards the end of the round, both defenses tightened up, though, and the rate of capping slowed to a crawl for both teams, but =WaR='s offense pulled a few more caps to end the round and the match with a victory.

Summary

EFM is a class act and they come to play.  No doubt about it.  Their offense pulled off some fantastic moves and some mesmerizing concs especially in Torch2.  And EFM's defense was so stingy they would make Monty Burns proud!

GG EFM, it was a pleasure and a challenge.
