OGL 5 vs 5

=WaR= vs [SMR]

CROSSOVER2

We challenged [SMR] for the 13th spot. We had to overcome our
superstition and go for that rank. Couldn't be any scarier than [MiD]DonJuan we thought. As the last minute was counting down in
our second restart, RW went out. I could hear others but all others
could hear was loud screaching making RW null and void. Of course
the accusations and flares then came out, "It's all Demon's fault!"
"yeah, he's mushing us again!" "Why can he hear and we can't? hang him!"

It was ridiculous, I see the team typing "what do we do now??"
"Demon, what's the deal for communication?" Hmmmmm, let me see here,
everyone but me is having problems and complaining, all they hear is some obviously non-existent hissing in my opinion, so it was clear what the problem was, their sound cards are TRASH! I bet in real life they sound completely different then RW. Perhaps all this time that I've been listening to deep manly voices, in reality they may sound like turkeys gobbling???!!

"PLAY ON!" I said. I wasn't about to ask for a 3rd restart and with only a
minute in prematch remaining, we went for it. This is where it got stranger.  Our prime offensive player Signor =WaR=HavoC drops out, =WaR=Snowman whom we all thought was a nice decent Harvard type chap, was actually a BOYZS IN DA HOOD kinda guy! He was doing that hand communicating thing like I've never seen before!! He had those hands hopping and a bopping, pointing in all directions, coupled with some body motions to boot! WHO NEEDS A STINKIN' RW when you can
jive like =WaR=Snowman! If anyone wants to know what the hand sign is for "enemy above!" or "got ya covered" or others...e-mail me, I learnt alot
in this match. We played with 4 players for about 14 minutes realizing without RW we couldn't call in our sub! We tried the mental thing but no avail.

"Hey!" I thought, I can icq him on another pc I have connected, phew!
We were one behind for most of the game till =WaR=HavoC, after 11 reboots, managed to get back in the game with 12 minutes remaining. We managed another cap that tied us with a few minutes remaining. Rw out of no-where kicks in and starts working normally. After the team had to endure loud sreeching noises on RW throughout most of the game, it was all of a sudden quiet...

"Hello?" I said..."%$#%$#%$@!#%#^%^#$%^$##$%!" That was everyone taliking at the same time, but, it was working...yipeee! "HavoC, Kaos...go get that flag!"...and off they went. How they did it, I have no idea, but sure enough, a flag they brought home for a 50-40 win. A very close, tense and great match!

BAM

Having passed the hardest part of the our challenge, we thought we could relax a little in Bam. No such luck, three SMR's came at us with snarls and caltrops! It seemed like there was a constant flow of SMR's attacking us. We could barely get a SG up. It also seemed like an eternity before finally we made a touch. Then the flag is returned, we touch, they touch, it was a touching game, but neither of us could pull the flag out.

I knew it was a matter of time before the weakness is found and our offense can make some moves....should've figured the same was happening with SMR.

Then came the caps from both sides. Both teams were now able to infiltrate and make retrievals, it came down to how fast. Our defense held them a little longer back and a couple of times the flag was returned after SMR took it to the top of the ramp. Phew! Final whistle blew at 60-30.

Summary

Great match and great spirits from SMR. They have some very talented
players and are gracious hosts. Thanks for providing the server SMR. VGG.
